See The Ad _.·´¯) Al's Two Cents (¯`·._ Once upon a time there was a level of integrity in this country that we never thought much about when we had it. Deals were consummated with a handshake. Your neighbor could be counted on to step up and protect your family in your absence. People would speak plain and it was the truth. Oh I'm not naive ... we had our share of bums ... but nothing like on the scale we see today. Young parents who put themselves ahead of the welfare of their children ... tradesmen who overcharge for shoddy work ... corporate leaders who fleece the public for personal gain ... politicians who take advantage of a populace too lazy to put in the time to be informed, not to mention skip their duty on election day. Then when things go over the top we want answers, like what's going on with this intelligence flap. We need to be on top of the activities of our elected leaders regularly. The performance in the Senate has been nothing short of embarrassing. Politics takes precedence over the needs of the people. Am I the only one getting irritated? Time for some long-time Senators to go ... a few Congressmen too ... what do you think? How many empty chairs on the court bench? Who does that hurt? There I go making everyone mad again.
